Alyse Pait, MS, LCMHC, CRC

Owner/Clinician

Taking the step to start therapy can be difficult and filled with mixed emotions; everybody deserves the best chance in the game of life. Alyse provides the tools to help you play the cards you've been dealt-just with a little more intention and strategy. Alyse completed her graduate coursework at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and earned licensures as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a facilitator for Mental Health First Aid. Her years of experience providing individual, child/couple/family, and completing psychological assessments allows her to keep the focus client’s needs and the ebbs and flows of life. Alyse hopes to help the person's life become more manageable, instead of life managing the person.

Alyse has a vast knowledge of evidenced-based therapies (Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Brief-Solution Focused Therapy), as well as an understanding of holistic methods of treatment. Alyse specializes in Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Personality Disorders, Children/Family/Marriage challenges, Bipolar and other Mood Disorders.  I believe that recovery, in whatever sense, is a journey, not a destination. Focusing on meeting the client where they are and assisting in the healing and growth process is my number one priority.

"You are not your illness. You have a story to tell. Staying yourself is a part of the battle." - Julian Seifter
